Party Time at the Pool

It's officially party season at OPP.  Please check out the calendar for things you can attend and/or might want to avoid these next few weeks.  As you might have noticed, the OPP swim team is especially strong in the "team building" component of OMPA.  If there was an award for this, we'd certainly win it every year.

Grill Tools Added

We have some new grill equipment in the gas grill area.  Feel fee to use it--but please clean it after use.

Practice Updates

Another week, another string of intense practices!

9 and ups are focusing on underwaters next week. They'll really highlight strength off of walls, with some additional practice on relay starts.

8 and unders will continue to work on starts and perfecting ALL strokes.

Commit to Meets Please!

We need people to let us know if they'll be able to attend next weekend's meets ASAP.  With the significantly more complicated OPP Relays and Bottoms Up meets happening that weekend, the more information we have the better!  Please confirm your attendance--or lack of attendance--because they both take a lot of coordination and planning!

4th of July Extravaganza

Mark your calendars for an afternoon of family-filled fun and games at YOUR pool on Thursday, July 4. Head up to the pool after the Orinda parade concludes for perennial favorites--including the infamous money dive and inner-tube relay races--and some new activities to celebrate Independence Day.

Be on the lookout for more details in upcoming newsletters.

Save the Date: OPP's Got Talent!

The evening of Thursday, July 18, from 5:30 - 7:30, Orinda Park Pool will host a fun-filled Talent Show!

Do your kids sing, dance, juggle, play a musical instrument, excel at telling jokes, or wow with magic tricks?

All school-age kids are encouraged to register for a spot in the talent show. Group acts and ensembles are encouraged, so long as one member of the group/ensemble is a school-age OPP member. Register to participate here.

All members and guests are encouraged to watch the show!

Questions can be directed to carrimaas@gmail.com.
