We are pleased to announce the deployment of our new team website and team management system which includes powerful email communication and billing tools. This new toolset will enable our coaches and team administrators to better communicate and manage our team.

One of the most important benefits to our team administrators will be the ability to effectively sign up for and track job signups from our membership. All team members will have access to job obligation signups as soon as they register on the new site. Immediately following this email, you will be sent a system generated email with your login credentials to your own private account and email. This email will grant you access to your own secure account. Please login and update all of your contact information. After you do this, please select your job obligations.

YOU CANNOT LOG INTO THE NEW SITE AND SIGN UP FOR OBLIGATIONS UNTIL YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR SWIM TEAM WITH ACTIVE.COM AND WE HAVE TRANSFERRED YOUR REGISTRATION TO THIS NEW SITE. WE WILL DO THAT ON A DAILY BASIS UNTIL FRIDAY MAY 9TH, THEN TWICE A WEEK.

Please Note that one portion of the new website is not operational yet - there is no option to print out all of the obligations you have signed up for on one page. Team Unify is working on it and may be operational this season. Currently, you need to print off each meet page or keep a hand written list.

CUSTOM CAP ORDERS ARE CLOSED AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

If you have problem with the Visa Rewards Program on the online registration. We have confirmed with our online registration company Active.com that this request does not come from them. It is through your Visa Company/Bank issuer. They cannot currently disable this request. Please call your bank for more information. OPP Swim Team has no control over this request either. We apologize for this intrusion but I am sure we can work through it.

We have made many upgrades to make the system easier to use. They accept Visa/MC or e-Check.

Cost of swim team is $310.00 for Little Stingers to 13-14 age group

$175.00 for 15-18 age group

Plus $35.00 social fee per swimmer (not including OMPA end of season party)

($25.00) discount for third swimmer in the same family and above (4 = $50.00). MUST REGISTER AT THE SAME TIME. The computer system is pre-set will calculate at the end.

STILL LOOKING FOR COMPUTER COMMITTEE MEMBERS!! The Swim Team Committee is actively seeking Swim Team parents who can work on the Computer Committee this summer. This is a VERY IMPORTANT position at the pool. You would run computer connected to the timing system, meet entries and postings. Some computer knowledge is requested and we will train you before the season starts. You would need to be available for home meets, able to arrive before the meet starts and stay until the entries are completed after the meet. We cannot run a swim meet without you. OBLIGATION SIGN UP:

Our new online obligation sign up system will be up and running by Wednesday April 30 at the latest. Our new to swim team families will have first access to sign up. We will send out (via e-mail) notification of open online obligation sign up to the remaining swim team on FRIDAY MAY 2nd.

1 non-meet obligation for each Little Stinger (4 hours) (NEW LITTLE STINGER PARENTS, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TIMING POSITIONS UNLESS YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE)

5 obligations for one swimmer (PLUS OMPA) (20 hours)

8 obligations for two or more swimmers (PLUS OMPA) (32 hours)

15-18 age group parents - no obligations for the regular 2008 season, but 1 OMPA obligation.

Obligations on this new site is by time only - not points as done before. 1 obligation = 4 hours. See handbook for additional details.

This new Swim Team website will offer greater and more specific communication this summer. We owe a HUGE THANK YOU TO CLAIRE PETERSON FOR SETTING THE WHOLE WEBSITE UP AND MEG VAUGHN WHO SET UP ALL OF THE OBLIGATIONS.

PRESEASON CLINICS HAVE STARTED.

Walk-in registration is still being accepted until the clinics are full.

Clinics are set for Saturday & Sundays starting April 26 and ending on June 1st. Cost is $20.00 per clinic per swimmer. See registration form for additional details. Pre-Season clinics are for swimmers 7 and Up (7 by June 15) that can swim 25 yards.

Swim Lesson Schedule: Sign-ups for lessons the week of June 16 to 20 only will be available for sign up on June 8th (REVISED DATE). Remember you can only sign up for one week at a time until June23rd , when you can sign up for a second week. (No more than two weeks on the books at any given time)

OPP GEAR & APPAREL: Orders are closed at this time. If we have any extras we will sell at Time Trials.

TEAM SWIM SUIT: Order at Nor-Ski in Lafayette (next to Noah's Bagels, Peet's Coffee, Jamba Juice & Safeway on Mt. Diablo Way at Oak Road) This team suit is running large, so if the suit does not fit your swimmer, purchase the Speedo brand, black body, royal blue stitching. Nor-Ski will be at Time Trials (scheduled anyway) and they should have team suits available for purchase.
